Having photographed two cookbooks I have a little bit of experience photography food.
Probably more experience eating food, but never the less photographing food for sure.
The “Chefs Table” book was captured in 52 separate restaurants where dishes were photographed, the location, and the chefs. All on location challenges and all without the use of artificial light. I will show numerous photos captured during the assignment of both books and discuss layouts, food styling and my process. I’ll answer all questions addressing style,equipment or lack there of. We will discuss the simplicity of the assignment and the deadlines.
As well as communication with the editor, author, chefs, restaurant owners and managers.We will end the session photographing a dish of food as all of these images were captured.
